Kangaroo Skin Level Balloon Gastrostomy Kitt

A Kangaroo Skin Level Balloon Gastrostomy Kit is a medical device used for the placement of a gastrostomy tube. It includes a balloon catheter, a skin level device, and a stoma measuring tool. The balloon catheter is inserted into the stomach through a skin incision and inflated with saline to secure it in place. The skin level device remains on the outside of the body to hold the catheter in place and maintain proper positioning. The stoma measuring tool is used to accurately measure the distance from the skin level device to the stomach to ensure proper positioning. This type of kit is commonly used for long-term enteral feeding in patients who are unable to take food by mouth.

Made with a unique external “raised feet” design, this kit allows air and moisture to circulate to promote a healthy stoma site and reduce the risk of skin irritation. This gastrostomy kit features a durable balloon, a feeding port that is made only for enteral feeding to ensure proper use, and the ClipStar enteral security clip for passive or active locking of the device. This kit is DEHP-free, made with soft 100% silicone material for enhanced patient safety and comfort, and addresses the 2006 JCAHO Tubing Misconnections Sentinel Event alert.
