Sandoz Latanoprost Eye Drops 0.005 % are used to treat certain types of glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye. This medication works by decreasing the amount of fluid within the eye. Reducing high pressure inside the eye helps to prevent blindness, nerve damage, or loss of vision. It is also used to treat a condition called hypertension, or high blood pressure in the eye.

How to use Sandoz Latanoprost Eye Drops 0.005%?

1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before using the eye drops.
2. Shake the bottle well before using.
3. Gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
4. Tilt your head back and look up towards the ceiling.
5. Hold the bottle upside down with the dropper pointing towards the eye.
6. Using your other hand, gently squeeze one drop into the pocket formed by the lower eyelid. Be careful not to touch your eye or any surrounding areas with the dropper.
7. Close your eyes and gently press your finger against the inner corner of your eye for about 1-2 minutes. This helps prevent the medicine from draining out of your eye and into your tear duct.
8. Wipe away any excess liquid with a clean tissue.
9. If your doctor has prescribed more than one drop per eye, wait for at least 5 minutes before instilling the next drop. This allows each drop to be absorbed properly.
10. Repeat the process in your other eye if directed by your doctor.
11. Do not rinse the dropper tip after use as this can contaminate the remaining solution.
12. Replace the cap tightly after use.
13. Wash your hands again to remove any residue.
14. Store the eye drops at room temperature, away from heat and moisture.
15. Use the eye drops exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not use more or less than the prescribed dose.
16. If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
17. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface, including your eye.
18. Do not use Sandoz Latanoprost eye drops if the liquid has changed color or has particles in it.
