Details: Basso Fedele & Figli Srl from Italy is a company that has been operating since 1904 in the production and packing of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, pure olive oil, pomace oil, sunflower seed oil, peanut oil, corn oil, soy oil, grapeseed oil, rice oil and oils from other seeds. Basso Olive Oil is exported to over 60 countries worldwide.
BASSO olive pomace oil is obtained from a blend between refined olive pomace oil and extra virgin olive oil. Olive pomace oil is rich in oleic acid, thus, it can resist very high temperatures and has a high smoke point (temperature at which the oil begins to deteriorate producing volatile toxic substances such as acrolein). This feature makes it a great product for frying every kind of dishes. This oil is especially suitable as an ingredient in bakery products (cakes, bread, bagels, biscuits, etc.). Thanks to its high content of waxes, it is able to give these products a friability similar to that obtained by using butter.
Thanks to its neutral taste, this oil can also be used as dressing on foods whose taste is preferred not to be altered.
